As a growing company within the green industry, Urban Prairie Landesign is looking for our next highly motivated project manager who has the ability and experience to help us continue enhancing our clients’ lives through custom-built landscapes that bring creativity and innovation to the forefront.
Our office is located in Gretna, NE, and all applicants must live in Gretna or in a nearby area of Nebraska such as Omaha, Elkhorn, or Ashland.
What You’ll Do as a Project Manager:
- Manage 2-3 crews from morning prep to when crews return at the end of the day.
- Manage hardscape construction projects from beginning to final walkthrough. You will be held accountable for project quality, budgets, and timelines.
- Discuss progress and next-day needs with crew leaders, the production team, and designers.
- Maintain crew safety and efficient work practices through training and supervision.
- Ensure crews have proper equipment for specific tasks related to project install.
- Ensure job site quality and appearance meet homeowner and UPL standards.
- Complete regular site visits, walkthroughs, and final sign-off with homeowners at the end of installation.
- Manage project organization through site preparation, material orders, equipment deliveries, and onsite supervision of projects.
- Proactive communication with clients, crews, general manager, and staff.
- Assist the general manager and production manager in job planning, material orders, production deliveries, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications You Must Meet for Our Project Manager Position:
- 2 or 4-year degree in a landscape construction-related field and/or certification by a landscape association preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in landscape residential design/build/installation, project management within the landscaping construction industry, and/or in a supervisory role.
- Ability to lead foremen and multiple crews to ensure job quality and completion of jobs on schedule.
- Strong work ethic, embracing accountability and consistency.
- Committed to producing quality work that exceeds client expectations.
- Expert level skillset required in project management and reading blueprints.
- Ability to analyze job cost/benefit of issues and to assess the risk to make profitable business decisions.
- Pragmatic, systems-based thinking with excellent written and oral communication skills (Spanish speaking a strong plus).
- Insurability and ability to operate company vehicles.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary of $60,000 - $75,000, depending on experience.
